Roberta Metsola (president of the European Parliament) handed the keys to Marta Barandyi (founder of Promote Ukraine), and Nataliia Melnyk (coordinator of the Ukrainian civil society), in a meeting at the Luxembourg Square in the European quarter in Brussels.
In the Station Europe building, which originally housed a train station, an area of about 150 square meters will be made available to the organization with a central work space and two meeting roomsPromote Ukraine will be able organize actions of the Ukrainian civil Society, such as demonstrations and press conferences.
It will also serve as a centre for administrative and psychological support to refugees who arrive in Belgium. This includes help with finding work, registering with local communes, and orientation in the first steps of the country.
