Russia’s richest oligarch has lost his Italian villa

According to government sources, Italy has today taken possession of a villa in Olbia (south) belonging to Russian tycoon Alexey Alexandrovits Mordaschev. This was within the context of sanctions against the invasion of Ukraine.

A villa is available for residential use at a cost ofAround 105 Million Euros It was confiscated following an investigation by Guardia de Finanza, a tax crime and border police.

Italy had already requisitioned megayacht “Lady M”The president of the Severstal metalurgical and energy conglomerate, Mordashov, was moored at the port of Imperia in the northwest.

Forbes magazine named him the richest Russian oligarch, with an estate worth 29,100 millions euros.

The world’s largest sailing yacht, the YS-200, blocked Andrey Melnichenko (Russian tycoon) when he docked at Trieste (northeast).

Melnichenko, one the most powerful men in Russia and founder of the MDB bank, as well as having investments in petrochemicals, was included on the European Union’s list of oligarchs sanctioned for aggression.

One week prior, the Government of Mario Draghi took assets in excess of 150 million euros. This included yachts and villas.

One of these was the yacht “Lena” by Gennady Timothychenko, which is located in Sanremo and has an estimated value approximately 50 million Euros.

Villa Lazzareschi is a villa built in 17th-century near Lucca (Tuscany), and was purchased by Oleg Savchenko, a Russian businessman, for three million euros in 2018.
