The former British Minister of Health Jeremy Hunt warned of the dangers of Whitehall’s group thinking, while Dr. Jason Wang of Stanford University explained the lessons we can learn from East Asian countries such as Taiwan and South Korea. Richard Hatchett of Alliance for Epidemic Prevention Innovation, (CEPI), explained how to speed deployment and distribution of vaccines. Nicole Stephenson of Metabiota and Kevin Esvelt of Massachusetts Institute of Technology emphasized the importance of addressing emerging threats at their source.
