Fernand Iveton (30), a worker, communist, anti-colonialist was guillotined at Algiers on Tuesday, February 11, 1957. Inspired by the novel by Joseph Andras, the film by Hélier Cisterne, “De nos frères wounded”, recounts this broken destiny. Interview with the director.
How did you get started in filmmaking?
I come from a rural family, I grew up in a small village on the border of Lot and Corrèze. Culture was a part of my childhood. However, dark room outings are uncommon. When I was 15 years old, while on vacation with my grandparents I went to the cinema.
