The US Department of Justice announced Tuesday, the Texas arrest of Igor Dekhtyarchuk. This is a Russian hacker and was accused of committing crimes. You can sell stolen digital data like access to thousands emails and card payments.

Dekhtyarchuk is 23-years old and was on the FBI’s most sought hackers list. He released a statement stating that he is now facing a If convicted, the maximum sentence is 20 years in federal prison

According to the indictment this Russian national hacker operated the Marketplace A portal that was dedicated to trading stolen data regarding online payments, credit cards and victims’ personal information.

The portal would have allowed access to more 48,000 email accounts, and 39,000 digital accounts created from other applications.

In April 2018, the portal was launched, the pirate began to advertise the sale of digital account information on forums.

A FBI undercover agent made 13 transactions on Dekhtyarchuk’s website, which gave him access to a total 131 digital account.

According to the statement, Brit Featherston, US Attorney for Eastern District of Texas, stated that “this case illustrates the need for us all to take steps to secure our online identity and personal data as well as financial accounts.”
